LOUD METAL CLANGING AND BANGING [a.k.a. The Clangbang] (Sample Pack)

This sample pack contains 89 individual Clangs, Bangs, Dongs, Scrapes, Rattles, and other extremely harsh sounds that were all recorded through the metal box shown on the cover. When struck, its vibrations are recorded through an internal contact mic and distorted by a boutique fuzz pedal.

"LOUD METAL CLANGING AND BANGING [a.k.a. The Clangbang] (Sample Pack) is an exploration of an unconventional instrument and the ways in which its output is affected by distortion. The many different timbres included in this pack were discovered by striking the box with a variety of materials (Pencil, Drum Stick, Hammers of various sizes) while manipulating the ways in which the box vibrates (Resting on different surfaces, Stretching springs across it or not, Muting or unmuting the tuned panels on the back of it, etc.).

Some uses for these samples include but are not limited to: beefing up or replacing snares, reversing into unique risers, creating harsh alien melodies, adding strange texture to a fill or production flourish, or expanding the scope of your personal sample library. All included files are in .WAV format.

This collection is organized into three categories: Long, Short, and Other. The Long folder, which is the largest, contains individual hits that sustain for ~1.5 seconds or longer. The Short folder holds individual hits with less sustain. The Other folder contains noteworthy sounds that consist of more than one hit or an alternative way of using the box to produce sound, as well as the uncut audio from my popular Instagram Reels "I need your input, tell me which of these sounds is your favorite" and "I need your help, tell me which of these snares I should include in my sample pack".
